Jakarta, 29th June 2024 – The third day of the 2024 SEA 3x3 Training Camp and Competition marked the start of the intense group stages, with Singapore’s team facing formidable opponents at the Fullbelly Sports Hub in Bogor, Indonesia. The venue, known for its high-quality facilities, once again provided an excellent setting for the high-stakes matches that unfolded.

Singapore was placed in Group B alongside the Jakarta National Team, Jakarta Swift, the Philippines, and Cambodia. The day proved to be challenging as our team faced off against some of the strongest competitors in the region.

The Philippines, the favorites of the group, showcased their dominance early on, delivering a resounding defeat to our team with a final score of 21-1. Despite this tough loss, our players remained resilient and focused on the games ahead.

In the match against Jakarta Swift, Singapore managed to scrape through with a narrow victory, winning 4-3. Despite holding a significant advantage, it was a hard-fought battle that tested the team’s endurance and determination.

The games against Cambodia and the Jakarta National Team were equally tough, resulting in close losses. Each match highlighted the high level of competition and the challenges that our team faced throughout the day.

After a long and grueling day of competition, the team was rewarded with a well-deserved meal and presentation at the Fullbelly Eats restaurant, allowing them to unwind and reflect on the day’s events. We were presented with a token of appreciation for attending the competition.

While the results were mixed, the experience gained and the lessons learned from these matches will undoubtedly serve our team well as they continue to develop and grow in the sport.
